Planning to join a class? Here are answers to some of the most common questions about training at Rajasekar’s Academy.
The program focuses on practical South Indian cooking, including foundational preparations, batter techniques, dosa, idli, vada, chutneys, podi, sambar, gravies, rice, pongal, snacks and other core preparations taught through hands-on practice.
The signature training program runs for five days, from Monday to Friday.
Each batch is kept intentionally small, with approximately 10–15 students and a maximum batch size of 15, allowing students to receive focused guidance during practical training.
The course fee is ₹35,000 plus applicable GST.
Rajasekar’s Academy is located in Tilak Nagar, opposite Tilak Nagar Police Station, Jayanagar, Bengaluru.
A course-completion ISO verified certificate is provided.
Yes. The academy is built around practical learning. Students observe techniques, prepare the food themselves, practise repeatedly and refine their skills under guidance in a working kitchen environment.
Training goes beyond individual dishes to include practical understanding of ingredient sourcing, recipe consistency, food costing, waste reduction, kitchen efficiency and professional workflow.
No. Dosa and traditional South Indian breakfast preparations are an important part of the training, but the program also explores chutneys, podi, sambar, gravies, rice preparations, pongal, vadas, snacks, sweets and other South Indian kitchen fundamentals.
